Wear Shoes

Doesn't matter if you train with normal glass or professionall flairing training bottles,

always wear shoes when you practice flairing.

One reason for this is that you can fully focus on the bottle in the air

and in that way you don't have to worry about the ground.

Even an empty bottle with some spin can hurt drastically when meeting some toes.

A Flairtender who can't stand, is usually not able to practice or perform!

Wear Glasses

You will spend a lot of time in flairing.

A minimal loss of focus can lead to a intimate bottle and eye event.

So if possible wear glasses when practicing and protect yourself.

Master your Techniques

Smile from your heart and enjoy what you are doing.

When you are flairing, you are flairing!

Never perform a trick in front of guests if you are not

at least able to complete it successfully in 9 of 10 trys.

A mastered technique needs no effort at all.

A blindfold or a huge spectrum of different shaped flairing bottles

facilitate to master a technique.

Control the Bottle

Always ensure that you are controlling the bottle and that the bottle is not controlling you.

The bottle always does exactly what you initiate it to do.

Bottles don't move autonomously.

The force and intension that you put in the bottle comes always back.

Know yourself and you know your bottle.

In the beginning dont put too much force in the bottle,

because the consequent force may hurt you.

Start with soft and elegant movements.

Keep it Simple

Train all tricks in the most simplified way. Think of what move you want to learn and how you can reduce it to small subunits. Learn subunit for subunit separately and keep the final aim in mind. Step by step put the subunits together when they were mastered. Speed is generated by experience and needs no supplementary training.

Wise Environment

Sand is not the beset place for first flairing sessions even if in the beginning it may seem different. Sand changes the form of your bottles and in the end it takes ages to clean the sand after every uncompleted trick. Grass only colors your bottle green but generally doesn't change the form of your bottle.

Empty Bottle

In the beginning it is advisable to train with empty bottles. When glass bottles are used they should be envelopped by plastic tape. first training sessions should not take place on concrete terrain. When you want to fill the bottles it is a nice variety if you fill them with warm water.

Safe Tools to Train

When training it is recommended to use plastic pours to avoid inury. Metal pours in eyes can transform a hobby into a philosophical disaster. Special thanks to the one-eyed flairtender from Bournemouth, who teached this experience intrinsically!

Music helps to bring the different flairing forms in a flow (Turkish Flairing). In such a flow (Flair France) it is much simpler to deepen your flairing skills. Music helps to give an input to start flairing. Music can be a driving force to develop persistence.

Fresh suncream makes all tricks more difficult. Use your mind and prepare yourself before the session or choose another location. When the sun is on zenith or in a dark knight the timing to train is not ideal.

Of course suncream or oil can be used to perfect your techniques but generally things should be kept simple.

Cut your nails before flairing. Mostly small injuries on finger nails or fingers cant be avoided, so folow the principle of safety first.

Once mastered, you can perform a technique everywhere (First Flairing Movie or Mountrain Flairing )

Don't think to much, go with the flow!

Keep the bottles in the air!
